The Shed's Base...

My neighbour gave me the huge, heavy paving stones to act as a base for the shed and as a mud-free place for me to stand on when using the 'scope.

I wanted to use paving stones rather than a poured concrete base, because they could be more easily removed or moved if necessary.

Above shows the 12 paving stones, plus a little extra stonework to make up the 150 mm (6 inch) gap where the pier is cemented into the ground.

On the right is the pier in place, surrounded by the paving stones. In the background is the patio, which existed before I built the shed and onto which I roll the shed back, when using the telescope.
